AFM's First Scholarship Recipient Named

Last September, we announced our new scholarship opportunity for our 2026 summer interns. Today, we’re pleased to share that Jude Bailey, a student at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, is our scholarship recipient!

Jude shared, “My internship has made me even more interested in building a career in forestry and land management. It has taught me valuable skills, changed the way I think about the industry, and shown me the importance of working together toward a common goal. I am thankful for the opportunity to learn from the people in the Folkston office, especially Daniel Hunter (Folkston, GA, District Manager) and Zach Griffin (Forester). I am grateful for everything I have learned during this internship, and I look forward to using these experiences to become a knowledgeable and dependable forester.”

Daniel Hunter shared, “Jude has been a dependable, hardworking, and positive addition to the Folkston team. His willingness to learn, take initiative, and assist wherever needed has made him a valuable intern. He works well with others, accepts direction and feedback professionally, and consistently looks for ways to remain productive. As he continues developing his forestry knowledge and gaining field experience, I believe he has strong potential for future success in the industry.”
