Griff Dorn

Griff Dorn, Area Manager in Edgefield, South Carolina, started his career in 2019. He has a Bachelor of Science in Forest Resource Management from Clemson University, and he is a Registered Forester and Licensed Real Estate Salesperson in SC. Additionally, Griff is a Certified Forester with the Society of American Foresters, SC TOP Logger Certified, and a member of the Forestry Association of SC.

Why did you pursue a career in forestry? I grew up on my grandfather’s farm, playing in and exploring the woods. I witnessed several timber harvests during those years as well. These events sparked an interest in being able to work outside in rural environments, which eventually led me to study forestry at Clemson University.

What do you like the most about your role with AFM? I enjoy being able to be outside most days of the week and an ever-changing “office” that corresponds to the silvicultural activities of the season.
