Steve Archer and Marisa Bass Named Region Managers

Effective January 1, 2024, American Forest Management promoted Steve Archer and Marisa Bass to Region Managers. Steve Archer will oversee AFM's land management operations in the Tennessee Valley Region, while Marisa Bass will oversee operations in Washington and Oregon.

Steve Archer is responsible for overseeing AFM's land management operations in the Tennessee Valley Region. AFM manages about 471,000 acres of timberland in that region, serving both large institutional clients and smaller non-industrial private forestland clients.

Steve Archer has over 32 years of experience in land management. He holds a B.S. in Forest Resources from the University of Georgia and is a registered forester in Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi, as well as a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson in Alabama. He has been with AFM for 10 years, most recently serving as the Russellville, AL, District Manager, and will continue to be based in that office.

Marisa Bass is responsible for overseeing AFM's land management operations in Washington and Oregon, totaling over 255,000 acres. She will continue to be based in AFM's Chehalis, WA, office.

Marisa Bass holds both a Master of Forest Resources and a B.S. in Forest Management from the University of Washington. She is a member of the Society of American Foresters. She joined AFM in 2016 and most recently served as the Chehalis District Manager before her promotion to Region Manager.

Steve Archer will continue to be based in AFM's Russellville, AL, office, where he previously served as District Manager. Marisa Bass will remain based in AFM's Chehalis, WA, office, where she previously served as Chehalis District Manager.
