For the second year in a row, Matt Jacobs, AFM’s Farmington, ME, District Manager, served as Chair of the Log a Load for Kids golf tournament in southern Maine. The mission of Log a Load is to raise funds to improve children’s health through treatment, education and research at Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.
This year’s tournament raised over $26,000 to be donated to the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital in Portland, Maine. Under Matt’s leadership, the event raised more funds than last year; despite the worst logging markets Maine has seen, coupled with the Covid-19 pandemic. This speaks not only to the resiliency of the industry but also to Matt’s capabilities. AFM sponsored the event and has been a long -time supporter of the tournament and the Log a Load effort.
