Joel Feltman, Regional Technical Forester, has been selected to participate in PLEAF

AFM is pleased to announce that Joel Feltman, Regional Technical Forester, has been selected to participate in the Palmetto Leadership for the Environment, Agriculture and Forestry (PLEAF) cohort 4 at Clemson University. Program participants are carefully selected after a nomination process, and candidates must demonstrate leadership qualities and traits through community, political, or organizational activities. Successful candidates must also participate in a selection interview where they demonstrate clear self-expression and the ability to meaningfully interact in learning seminars and course material.
PLEAF is a two-year academic, experiential learning, and networking curriculum designed to facilitate personal and professional growth and success. Program participants develop significant leadership skills and network with industry leaders in the public and private sectors.
Joel has an associate’s degree in Civil Engineering from Horry-Georgetown Technical College, a Bachelor of Science in Forestry, and a Master of Science in Forestry with an emphasis on GIS from Clemson University. He is a Certified Forester® with the Society of American Foresters and a Registered Forester in South Carolina.
Stephen Eddins, Managing Director of Technical Services, nominated Joel for the program because he “exemplifies the emerging leadership our company and industry strive to elevate. His strong technical expertise and innate talent for uniting people made him a clear choice for Clemson’s PLEAF program. I am confident he will maximize this opportunity and deliver meaningful contributions to the program, to South Carolina, and to the wider natural resources community.”
Congratulations to Joel on this exciting next step. We know you will represent AFM well!
