AFM Hires a Forest Sustainability and Certification Manager
America Forest Management (AFM) is pleased to announce that Cierra Ward is joining the team as our new Forest Sustainability and Certification Manager. She will lead AFM's Group SFI® and Group FSC® certification programs throughout the United States, advise AFM staff on sustainable forestry practices, and handle environmental reporting.
Cierra has a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Resources and Conservation and a Master of Forest Resources and Conservation from the University of Florida. She is a Registered Forester in North Carolina and South Carolina, and a Society of American Foresters Certified Forester. Cierra is also a member of several organizations, including the National Association of Women in Timber, the North Carolina Sustainable Forestry Initiative Implementation Committee, the North Carolina Forestry Association, and the Society of American Foresters. Cierra shared, “I’m excited to join the AFM team and contribute to the continued growth of a forestry-forward Sustainability and Certification program that delivers value to our clients.”
