AFM Announces Organizational Changes

Charlotte, NC — 1/3/2025 American Forest Management, a forestry consulting, land management, and real estate firm with over 59 years of experience, announces updates to its leadership team, positioning itself for future growth.

Eric Stier has been promoted to Managing Director of Northern Operations, with additional oversight of our Central America Operations. Stier has 35 years of experience, an associate's degree in Forest Technology from Michigan Technological Institute, and a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Walden University.

Matt Jacobs has also been promoted to Northeast Region Manager. Jacobs has 20 years of experience and a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry from the University of Maine.

Nate Herring, Director of Biometrics and Inventory Services, now oversees AFM’s Inventory Services Group in addition to managing the company’s Biometric Services. Herring has 17 years of experience, a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Science from Pennsylvania State University, and a Master of Science in Forest Biometrics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

Additionally, AFM Ag Services, under the direction of Brandon DuRant, now oversees the Environmental Services group.
