AFM Announces Organizational Changes

American Forest Management announced several leadership updates effective in early January 2025. Eric Stier was promoted to Managing Director of Northern Operations with additional oversight of Central America Operations, and Matt Jacobs was promoted to Northeast Region Manager. Nate Herring, Director of Biometrics and Inventory Services, expanded his role to oversee AFM's Inventory Services Group in addition to his existing Biometric Services responsibilities. AFM Ag Services, under Brandon DuRant, also took on oversight of the Environmental Services group.

Eric Stier has been promoted to Managing Director of Northern Operations, and he now also holds oversight of AFM's Central America Operations. Stier brings 35 years of experience to the role and holds an associate's degree in Forest Technology from Michigan Technological Institute and a bachelor's degree in Business Management from Walden University.

Matt Jacobs has 20 years of experience in the forestry field and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry from the University of Maine. His background makes him well positioned to lead AFM's operations in the Northeast region following his recent promotion.

Nate Herring, who previously served as Director of Biometrics and Inventory Services, now oversees AFM's Inventory Services Group in addition to continuing to manage the company's Biometric Services. He has 17 years of experience and holds a Bachelor of Science in Forest Science from Pennsylvania State University as well as a Master of Science in Forest Biometrics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

According to AFM CEO Brent Keefer, the changes reflect the company's core values of knowledge, innovation, and dedication. Keefer expressed confidence that the updated leadership team will continue driving innovation and upholding those values as the company positions itself for future growth.
