Whitney Butler

Whitney Butler, District Manager in Underwood, Washington, started his career in 2012. He has a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from Cal Poly Humboldt.

Why did you pursue a career in forestry? I grew up surrounded by the National Forest in the Columbia Gorge and spent weekends hiking and camping in the adjacent forests. When I graduated from high school, I wasn't sure which career path interested me. I knew I enjoyed math, science, and being outdoors. I took a forestry class and found it to be a perfect combination of all the things I enjoy.

What do you like the most about your role with AFM? I enjoy the diversity of work with AFM! Every day is different because each client has different management goals and objectives. It makes coming to work engaging and fun.
