Shawn Cooper

Shawn Cooper, Area Manager in Marianna, Florida, started his career in 1998. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Resources from the University of Georgia and an M.B.A. from Florida State University. Shawn is a Registered Forester in Alabama and Georgia, a Licensed Real Estate Sales Associate in Florida and Alabama, a Florida Prescribed Burn Manager, a Florida Tree Farm Committee District 2 Representative, and a member of the Florida Forestry Association.

Why did you pursue a career in forestry? I pursued a career in forestry because I enjoyed the outdoors and thought it would be an opportunity to work in a field where I would not be confined to an office.

What do you like the most about your role with AFM? I like the variety of projects we work on the most.
