Orrin Goure

Orrin Goure, Area Manager in North Chesterfield, Virginia, started his career in 2015. He has an A.A.S. degree in Forest Management Technologies, is a Registered Forester in North Carolina, and a Licensed Pesticide Applicator in North Carolina and Virginia. Orrin is also a member of the Virginia Forestry Association and the Society of American Foresters.

Why did you pursue a career in forestry? I have always loved the outdoors. One day, I finally realized I could have a career working with forestlands. After that, I wasn’t going to let anything stop me.

What do you like about your role with AFM? I like the variety. One day, I might be setting up a timber sale, and the next, I could be supervising a tree planting crew and getting to know the migrant laborers.
