Michael Sexton

Mike Sexton, District Manager in Russellville, Alabama, started his career in 1991. He has an associate’s degree in Forestry from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Jacksonville State University. Mike has earned several certifications in Alabama, including Certified Pesticide Applicator, Certified Burn Manager, and Certified Professional Logging Manager.

Why did you pursue a career in forestry? I followed in my father’s footsteps, who was also a forester.

What do you like the most about your role with AFM? I enjoy the variety of work and being able to set my priorities each day.
