Matt Taylor

Matt Taylor, Texas Region Manager and Certified Wildlife Biologist in Lufkin, Texas, started his career in 1998. He has a Bachelor of Science in Forest Wildlife Management from Stephen F. Austin University. Matt is a member of the Texas Forestry Association, the Texas Wildlife Association, and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Upland Game Bird Advisory Council. He is a Wetland Delineator, Certified Texas Big Game Awards Scorer, Accredited Forester with the Texas Forestry Association, and a board member of the Texas Forestry Association.

Why did you pursue a career in forestry? I really enjoy working outside as well as all aspects of Land Management and reaching landowner objectives.

What is your favorite part about your role at AFM? I enjoy the professionals I work with and the diversity of their backgrounds; plus, no day is ever the same!
