Matt Jacobs

Matt Jacobs is a Licensed Forester in both Maine and New Hampshire, and he serves as Region Manager based out of Farmington, Maine.

Matt began his career in forestry in 2005, giving him nearly two decades of professional experience in the field. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry from the University of Maine.

Matt works across a broad area of Maine, covering counties including Aroostook, Franklin, Hancock, Kennebec, Knox, Lincoln, Penobscot, Piscataquis, Somerset, Waldo, and Washington. He is also associated with cities such as Bangor, Waterville, and Orono.

Matt's interest in forestry grew out of his personal experience growing up on a family farm that included forestland managed by a professional forester. Spending time with that forester during high school introduced him to woodland management and sparked a lasting passion for the field.

Matt finds particular satisfaction in two aspects of his work: watching new foresters develop into skilled professionals, and having conversations with landowners about what motivates them to own and care for their land.
