Kirk Richardson

Kirk Richardson, Area Manager in Zebulon, NC, started his career in 2005. He has an associate's degree in Business Administration from Pitt Community College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Management from North Carolina State University. Kirk is a Registered Forester and Licensed Real Estate Broker in North Carolina and a member of the Society of American Foresters.

Why did you pursue a career in forestry? A career in forestry allowed me to pursue two things I enjoyed: land management and real estate. Having a father who was involved in land real estate, I was exposed to differing aspects of forestry and real estate at a younger age, which made pursuing a degree in Forest Management a little easier than someone who has not been exposed to it before.

What do you like the most about your role with AFM? Being able to assist landowners in achieving their goals and maximizing their return on their property.
