Why did you pursue a career in forestry?

Growing up in Houston, TX, I wanted a career that was outdoor-oriented and would keep me out of a big city.

What is your favorite part about your role at AFM?
I like the hands-on field management side of forestry while working directly with the clients and landowners to help them reach their goals and objectives for the properties in an economically and ecologically sound manner. The AFM business structure provides the feel of working with or for a small business and the personalized level of attention we can give our clients through our small offices while, at the same time,  we have the resources, experience, and knowledge to handle any natural resource management project a client could need.  If I am unsure how to handle a project, there is somebody within AFM I can reach out to who has the experience, knowledge, or skill to advise or handle the project, in turn improving my knowledge and abilities by working with them.
