Jimmy Murphy

Jimmy Murphy is based in Meridian, Mississippi and serves a wide range of cities and counties across Mississippi and Alabama. Jimmy holds an associate's degree in Forestry from Lake City Community College in Lake City, Florida. He is a Registered Forester in South Carolina and holds the designation of American Tree Farm Qualified Inspector.

As Area Manager, Jimmy handles a wide variety of responsibilities, from standard field duties to managing other employees and coordinating team efforts. He regularly works with clients, contractors, and new AFM employees, and appreciates the dynamic nature of his schedule. He also relies on AFM's broader network of professionals when complex issues arise.

Jimmy's father was a forester, and Jimmy had the opportunity to work alongside him during his summers growing up. That early exposure, combined with a love of the outdoors, drew him toward a career in forestry. He finds deep satisfaction in helping private landowners and investment property owners achieve their goals, and in being part of a tree's journey from planting all the way through to harvest.
