Why did you pursue a career in forestry? I chose a career in forestry because I loved walking in, working in, and enjoying the forest as a teenage Boy Scout. I went to college to learn about forestry and thoroughly enjoyed the learning experience. Practicing sustainable forest management for profit and other objectives has resulted in a very rewarding career that has been a blessing.

What do you like the most about your role with AFM? It has been a pleasure to take on the role of a consulting forester because of the varying ways to use expertise to help people. Clients love to make money from their forests and invest in their forest’s future for their heirs, but they really love to know that their forester is looking out for their best interests. The role of serving clients is a solemn responsibility that I thoroughly enjoy.
