Fred Beck

Fred Beck is a Registered Forester in both South Carolina and North Carolina. On the real estate side, he holds a broker license in North Carolina and a salesperson license in South Carolina, making him well positioned to assist landowners with both forestry management and land transactions in either state.

Fred began his career in forestry in 1984, giving him decades of hands-on experience in the field. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry from North Carolina State University and has been a member of the Society of American Foresters since 1983, predating even the formal start of his professional career.

Fred holds a wide range of credentials relevant to forest management. He is an SC Prescribed Burn Manager, a licensed pesticide applicator in South Carolina, and a trained SC Timber Operations Professional. He is a member of the Society of American Foresters, the Forestry Association of SC, the NC Forestry Association, and an associate member of the SC Timber Producers Association. He also served as the SAF Pee Dee Chapter Chairman in 1996.

Fred Beck serves a broad territory across both states. In North Carolina, his service area covers counties including Mecklenburg, Wake, Guilford, Cumberland, Robeson, and many others spanning the central and southeastern portions of the state. In South Carolina, he covers counties such as Horry, Florence, Richland, Chesterfield, Marlboro, and numerous additional counties throughout the state.

Fred traces his passion for forestry back to his time as a teenage Boy Scout, where he developed a deep appreciation for walking in and working in the forest. That early connection led him to pursue a formal education in forestry, and he has found the career deeply rewarding. What he values most in his current role is the responsibility of genuinely looking out for his clients' best interests, helping them generate income from their forests while also planning for the future benefit of their heirs.
