Christopher Scott, District Manager in Underwood, Washington, started his career in 2000. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Management from Oregon State University. Chris was also in the Army National Guard as an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Operator (drone pilot).
Why did you pursue a career in forestry? I had several family members who were loggers and a grandfather who was a forester. I started in forest road building and logging operations as a teenager, and fell in love with working in the woods. I wanted to know everything I could about why we do what we do in our forests.
What do you like the most about your role with AFM? The multitude of people I get to work with who care about forestry as much as I do, and the ability to use knowledge acquired throughout my career to help clients achieve their goals.
