Why did you pursue a career in forestry? Growing up in rural SW Washington State, my family was deeply rooted in the timber industry. When I was young, I often recreated in private timberland. Observations of foresters and their impact on the forest and community inspired me to pursue a career in forestry. Basically, having access to private timberland as a youth led me down the path of forestry.
What do you like the most about your role with AFM? I enjoy the culture and social atmosphere of the company. My role at AFM allows me to share my industry experience and knowledge with developing foresters.
