Brandon Bal

Brandon Bal serves as the Lake States Region Manager, covering the Upper Peninsula of Michigan as well as several counties in northern Wisconsin. His service area includes counties such as Houghton, Marquette, Gogebic, Baraga, and Iron in Michigan, along with Ashland, Vilas, Oneida, and Marinette counties in Wisconsin, among others.

Brandon holds a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from Michigan Technological University and a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in GIS from Pennsylvania State University. He is also a Certified Forester with the Society of American Foresters and is a former SFI SIC Committee Member, reflecting a strong commitment to professional standards in forestry.

Brandon began his forestry career in 2008, giving him well over a decade of professional experience in the field. That background informs his work as Lake States Region Manager for American Forest Management.

Brandon says his favorite part of working at AFM is the ability to help solve problems and meet client needs. He finds it especially satisfying to apply his skills and knowledge to find solutions that make a real difference for the landowners and clients he serves.

Brandon has always had a love for the outdoors and was inspired by visits to national parks as a child. It was not until college that he realized forestry could be a profession, and once he understood he could align his career with his passion for the natural world, the decision became clear.
