data
- Generate reports to support decision making
The valuable information you need to make informed decisions, once
only available through our office, is now at your fingertips day and
night with Cypress™.
- Code Listing - Allow the user to access all of the
codes and their definitions. For example, LB = Loblolly Pine.
- Stand Volume - Stand characteristics for each
individual stand in the report. For example: trees per acre,
basal area, volume by product.
- Original Growth - Displays growth from original
inventory data on a single property. The stand characteristics
shown are similar to those in the “Stand Volume Report.”
However, since this report gives information from the original
inventory data used to grow the stand, it is helpful in
determining if any data needs to be corrected in order for
growth corrections to be accurate as highlighted in the
“Pre-Growth Errors Report.”

- Pre-Growth Errors - Displays errors found and their
seriousness on each stand to be grown. Before a property is
grown, it is checked for data errors. Growth cannot occur if any
stand within the property has a serious growth error.
- Original and After Volume Growth - Displays volume
information obtained from the last inventory performed on the
user-defined property, and calculated growth information is
displayed for comparison.
- Tract Listing - A quick and easy way of listing
tracts and acreages meeting selected criteria. Includes tract’s
client, fund, property, tract number, and location (state and
county) and acreage information.
- Age Class - Summarizes stand information by one-year
age class. Contains average stand characteristics such as site
quality, trees per acre, basal area, as well as volume by
product information.
- Condition Summary - Summary information for all
stands in various “conditions and categories.” The current
conditions which are separated in this report are: pine
management capability, premerchantable acres by regeneration
type and age class, and timber type. All stands are included in
report.
- Quarterly/Periodic (Client Specific) - Displays
changes between the most recent quarter and previous quarter.
This report has three sections. In the merchantable timber
section, timber volumes by species and product are displayed for
the previous quarter. It then reports changes in those values
resulting from growth, inventory, timber sales, land
transactions, and database adjustments. It finishes by
displaying volume for the current quarter. In the
premerchantable timber summary section, premerchantable acreages
by the previous quarters age are displayed, then the adjustment
to the acreage occurring during the time period, finishing with
the resulting acreage by the current quarter. The timber type
section shows acreage by timber by timber type at the time of
the previous quarter, adjustments occurring during the period,
and then finally the timber-type acreage at the time of current
quarter.
- Change Order Summary - Displays details of the
quarterly report and identifies the changes occurring during the
specified time period of the quarterly report. Provides stand
details, but does not include growth changes. Growth changes are
listed separately in the “Original and After Volume Growth
Report.”
- Silvicultural - Provide the stand level history and
details of silvicultural treatments which have been input into
the system. This includes the treatment timing and rate
information for the treatments which affect the Cypress™ growth
routines.
- Data Download (Client Specific) - A Microsoft Excel
file in which each row is a stand containing selected Cypress™
data values at a given point in time. This file can be opened
directly over the web or can be saved for later viewing and use
by “bolt-on” applications. A header row gives the field name for
each column of data.
- Appraisal Status Report - Determines the current
appraisal-estimated worth of selected stands. Provides timber
volume by species and product class, premerchantable stand
information, and acreage by timber type. Prices can be input for
the timber volume, premerchantable stands and bare land values
to determine the value for all of the stands included in the
report. Reports can be run using varying prices and, with
permission (authorization), can save the prices for future use.
- Appraisal Change - Displays the difference between
the Appraisal Status Report most recently produced and the
previous report. For instance, the change in values on the
Appraisal Status Report executed on January 1 and July 1 would
be shown in this report. Subtracting January 1 from July 1 will
provide the values. Changes are the absolute differences in
acreages, product volumes, and prices.
- Property Valuation - Determines current worth of
selected stands. Similar to Appraisal Status Report. Contains
timber volume by species and product class; premerchantable pine
stand information, and acreage by timber type. Prices can be
input for the timber volume and bare land values. This report
differs from the Appraisal Status Report by the way prices for
premerchantable stands are determined. Rather than specifying
prices by premerchantable stand age; a formula is used to
calculate premerchantable timberland values. The values
specified by the user create the formula. Reports can be run
using the various prices, and save these for future use by users
with permission (authorization).
- Prior Inventory - Displays most recent inventory for
selected stands. Begins with summary page of the number of acres
inventoried over the past 5 years by inventory category groups.
It then details stands by inventory year.
- Upcoming Inventory Report - Displays the next time
stands should be inventoried. Report begins with a summary page,
displaying the number of acres to be inventoried over the next 5
years by inventory category groups. It then details by inventory
year the stands that need to be inventoried.
